Product Information

If you've ever burnt your fingers pulling bay leaves from a steaming pot, or woody rosemary stalks from, well, anything, the Spice Bomb is your friend.

Designed to hold spices and infuse flavour through your dish, while keeping woody stalks and bitter leaves out of the food. Once everything is cooked, simply lift out, discard the herbs and spice seeds, and wash the Bomb in the dishwasher. Think cardamom, star anise, bay leaves, rosemary and thyme. All add delicious flavours to soups, stews and curries, yet all are pretty terrible to bite into.

The stainless steel ball is completely flavourless, allowing the flavours of your herbs and spices to permeate the dish through the small holes in the ball. Heat resistant up to 240°C, it can even go into the oven in a casserole. The flexible silicone arm attaches neatly to the edge of the pot, making it even easier to remove in one, easy movement.

"Da Bomb!"

It's like a giant tea ball and it's brill!
Made a lamb knuckle curry with it the w/end - shoved some cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, curry & bay leaves, etc in there, stuck it in the pot submersed in some stock, et viola! A massively flavorsome lamb curry without all the nasty hard bits floating 'round everywhere.
This neat idea keeps all the extreme fibre nasties inside it while releasing all da flava through dem li'l holes.
Awesome invention and build quality suggests it'll last a lifetime. Cool.
Now back to that idea of mine to use it as a giant tea ball in a tea pot... Fresh mint tea me thinks ;-)

"Spice bomb makes a big bang"

I bought the Spice Bomb as a gift for someone in New Zealand. I just loved the concept and the great styling. As soon as it arrives there and they have tested it I will get them to write a review. The parcel was delivered in less than a week, well packed with the lovely handwritten card, wrapping paper and fridge magnet. Well done YuppieChef I am very impressed.

"AWESOME Product!! "

I cook large volumes of meat daily! I used to make a parcel in a serviette to keep the sticks and pieces of spices seperate!!! Now I just put everything in my infuser and cook away!!!!!

"This is a great way to make your own bouquet garni"

I purchased this item in November 2011 and it took me 5 months to use. I made my first tom yum soup and it called for certain ingredients to be discarded after simmering for an hour. Instead of having to fish out the lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves and ginger I placed them all in the spice bomb. It is not easy to open, but saying that, it seals well. The spice bomb hung over my pot with no problem, it was easy to remove and easy to clean. I am looking forward to my next recipe that calls for a bouquet garni.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
