Today, we enjoy a beer with a braai, and now you can use one to create a delicious loaf of bread to enjoy with friends at said braai. Nice, hey?
Homemade bread is the best. From the smell as it bakes, to spreading it with butter, while still warm from the oven. Now you can have homemade bread whenever you like - just add beer.
This simple kit is everything you need to make bread in your kitchen. Just pour into a bowl, add one 330ml beer - use a room temperature beer to ensure activation with yeast - stir to combine and pour into a baking tin. About 45 minutes later, you'll have a loaf of fresh, delicious bread to serve to friends and family (try to resist eating it all).
In a rush? Experiment with making mini loaves and muffins - just adjust baking time accordingly. Thought homemade bread was for people with a ton of time on their hands? Think again. With Barrett's Ridge, you're all set (just add beer).

Not into beer? That's ok, you can also make bread with soda water or an non-alcoholic beer (for a similar flavour but without alcohol).

Baking bread has never been this simple. Just mix the contents of the kit with a bottle of beer (the combinations are endless!) and put in the oven, try to be patient and it's done. Very yummy while still warm and served with butter.

This beer bread is unbelievably easy to make and is such an impressive thing to serve as starters with butter, tapenade, and anything really. The flavour is fantastic and tastes like a lot of effort went into making one loaf, when really it takes only 5 minutes to prepare. Simply empty the mixture into a bowl, add eggs, mix and pour into a loaf tin and place in the oven to bake. This fool proof bread will get your guests begging for the recipe! I just say its my secret.

This bread took two minutes to prepare and was really quick to bake too. Came out rising high with a crusty outside and soft inside. Only unhappy person was the husband as I used his beer to make it!!!!!

The beer bread is so easy to make and it tastes delicious. I actually made about 13 mini loafs out of 1 x 450g bread kit over Christmas and New Year and my family was very impressed with presentation & taste of this bread. Will definitely buy these products again!!

Such a simple, but crowd-pleasing product. Everyone loves snacking on a bit of warm, homemade bread. A smidge stodgy in the centre, but I think I took it out a bit early.

Christmas Day celebrations in our house are very special! This year, I really wanted to serve fresh home-baked bread on Christmas Day and the Barrett's Ridge Beer Bread Kit was the perfect solution! Instead of baking a loaf I baked 6 little snowmen using a Christmas baking pan. I loved how easy it was to make the dough and my family and guests loved the taste of these freshly baked "drunken" little snowmen! (I even took a photo!) :-)

I made the beer bread as instructed but baked it in a muffin tin instead of a loaf pan as suggested on your site. I sprinkled with some grated cheddar cheese over them and baked them for about 35 minutes and they were amazing!
We had them hot out the oven with butter, as a side with our curry dinner.
The best part was having muffins for my kids lunch box's the next day. They had muffins with cream cheese and ham... so versatile and so delicious!!

Delicious... I tried it with a Castle Stout beer as per the panel I read on the Yuppiechef news and it was amazing. We all loved it except my 8yr old... heehee

I love this product! From the cute, re-usable bag (for a gift or even for your cellphone and keys) to the simple instructions and yummy results. Making bread made me a bit nervous, but it was simple, easy and delicious. We used Milk Stout and got a warm, dark loaf with a crunchy crust and soft center. I must say, it was a hit with our friends!

Super easy to make but was more of a scone texture than a yeast bread and too sweet for our taste, however not a crumb left over.
