Top kitchen tools of 2012
Feeling nostalgic about 2012? Amidst a year of olympic jubilation and financial face lifts,...
The PoachPod is an ingenious, flexible silicone cooking tool for poaching eggs, baking and moulding.
The PoachPod allows you to float and poach an egg in boiling water like a lily pad on a pond. When the egg is ready, flip the non-stick pod inside out and gently push the perfectly domed shaped egg out. Place the pod in the dishwasher for easy clean up.
Some stuff you should know:
If you use it in the microwave you can place it in a little water in a bowl or just on its own. Make sure you prick the yolk beforehand though.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
What customers say
Bridget McNulty - a passionate foodie, heart-shaped egg maker and excellent writer sent us a review of her Fusionbrands poachpods:
I have a confession to make: although I consider myself a burgeoning foodie, I have never made a poached egg. Not ever. Not even once. Ive made soufflés and créme brulees, marmalade and homemade bread (and pastry!) but never once attempted a poached egg. Mainly, I think, because I always thought they were so hard. Why else would everyone be talking about them all the time?
