The funnel allows steam to escape whilst the pie is baking, keeping pie crusts crisp and avoiding soggy pastry. The funnel also prevents pies from bubbling over. Simply place in the centre of the pie and allow the beak to pop through the pastry. Ceramic. Dishwasher safe.

"Good pies"

This little Blackbird made sure that all the extra steam was released from the pie and didn't leave the contents watery but rather it helped create a thick and tasty pie. Easy to use with great effect.
