Fired at temperatures of 840°C, the super smooth enamel finish of Le Creuset cast iron is durable and hygienic. Which means that everything you stew, braise or simmer in a Le Creuset casserole will taste just as good as you intended.

Description
Perfect heat distribution: The base, side walls and lid are all of the same quality and thickness so there are no areas where heat can be lost rapidly. Heat is distributed evenly, preventing hot spots. The phenolic knob on the lid is heat resistant to 200°C.
Energy efficient: Once hot, you require only a low to medium heat setting to maintain a good cooking performance. Furthermore, the pan can be removed from the heat, leaving the food to cook in its own heat. It even keeps its warmth on the serving table.
Perfectly fitting lids ensure that heat, moisture and flavours are tightly sealed in.
It will never warp and therefore always maintain its shape and flat, steady base.
Suitable for all heat sources including ceramic, halogen or induction hobs, gas, electric, solid fuel or rayburn.

- The vitreous enamel cooking surface is extremly durable, easy to clean and completely hygienic being impervious to flavours and odours.

- The interior enamel is a smooth gloss finish in a sand colour, except with the satin black which has a matt black enamel. Both clean easily by hand or in the dishwasher if used in accordance with the care and use instructions that come with the product.
