Chips, the crispy downfall of every diet, are reinvented in this new, fat and oil free version. Simply use the mandoline included to slice root vegetables and hard fruit into thin slivers. Lay evenly on the TopChips plate and pop into the microwave for between 3-5 minutes (varies depending on the strength of your microwave - experiment for best results).
Tips and tricks:
Slice very thinly for quick cooking
Season and spice to draw out moisture to ensure a crispy chip
On weaker microwaves, cook for a longer time
Chips are ready when they curl up and crack when broken
Wondering about size? The chip maker fits in a microwave with a 28cm+ diameter plate.
We all knew about microwave popcorn, who knew there were microwave chips. Works just as advertised, perfect and crispy results, although you have to experiment to find the times that work for your oven. Also, its pretty pointless without the additional two trays since the single tray isn't enough for even one potato to fit - get those too and you have the most amazing snack maker around.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

The mandolin for slicing the chips is excellent - nice uniform, ultra-thin slices off a very sharp blade. Nice to have the finger protector included too. But I found the chip maker itself a big disappointment - the slices simply never crisped up to the level I was expecting, even after cooking way longer than was indicated. So you're left with slightly crunchy/slightly soggy chips that aren't at all appetizing. I would not recommed the product at all.
The mandolin works well.
However, all this product allows one to do is make soggy, thinly sliced cooked veg or fruit. Chips should be CRISP! One cannot use it in the oven or on higher temperature convection.
I was very excited to have homemade chips in a jiffy, while the mandoline slices nicely and the chips taste great, it took at least double the amount of time as to what it should and doesn't make much...It took about 6 minutes or more per batch of regular potatos, and each batch is a tiny handful...after an hour you might have a reasonable bowl...
