Beetroot, carrot and orange juice

Beetroots take good-for-you to a whole new level. As well as curing hangovers, they’re also great mood-lifters and, some say, aphrodisiacs. All good reasons to drink beetroot juice, we think.

Freshly squeezed beetroot juice

Beetroots oxygenate the blood and also provide an excellent tonic for the kidneys. On their own, they taste quite earthy and rooty, but when combined with sweet oranges and carrots, it’s a bright medley of rejuvenation.

Ingredients:

1 smallish beet
4 carrots
1 orange, peeled

Ingredients for beetroot, carrot and orange juice

1. De-leaf your beets and carrots, followed by a good soil-ridding scrub.
2. Chop up all your ingredients and feed them through your hungry juicer. We used the Oscar Juicer DA900.
