How to crib fortune cookies
You need
1 plain fortune cookie
1 damp dishcloth
1 personalised message
1. Write your own message (point 8 font size is best), print it out and cut into a strip of about 1cm x 6cm.
2. Remove the fortune cookie from it’s packaging and wrap it in a damp dishcloth (not dripping, just damp!). Microwave for about 30 to 40 seconds. The time will vary depending on your microwave and dampness of the dishcloth – buy more than one cookie to experiment if you need to.
3. The cookie will become flexible for about 20 seconds after microwaving, so quickly remove it (careful, it’s hot), gently bend the cookie open and remove the message that’s already in there, quickly replacing it with your own message.
4. Close the fortune cookie back up – it folds back to the way it was quite naturally and becomes crisp again almost immediately.
