How to make rose water lemonade

Nothing beats a glass of homemade lemonade. Sometimes, however, it’s nice to spice things up a bit. For a rather fanciful floral tonic, why not add a dash of rose water to the mix? Here’s how to make this refreshing mood-booster of a drink.

Lemonade with rose water essence

Ingredients (serves 6):

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4 lemons, depending on how juicy they are)
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
4 cups water
1 tsp rose water
Mint, lemon wedges and ice to serve

Rose water lemonade ingredients

1. Heat the lemon juice, sugar and one cup of water. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.
2. Leave to chill before adding the rose water and extra cups of water.
3. Serve with mint, lemon wedges and loads of ice.
