A bright and breezy spring breakfast

As with all our monthly staff breakfasts there was a team in charge who kitted out the test kitchen with beautiful table decor, origami birds, jelly beans, flowers and wax crayons. Needless to say, our brown paper table cloths quickly became canvases.

Loving a good dress up and despite the howling gale we donned cheery outfits and sat down to a splendid breakfast of fruit skewers and egg nests. Ever made egg nests yourself? They’re nifty, especially when serving breakfast for a crowd: simply line a greased muffin pan with ham, fill with sautéed mushrooms or tomatoes, whisk up an egg and pour it in and top with cheese before baking. Handy.

After breakfast, we got into teams and played a game with helium sticks. It’s a funny game this one, seemingly so simple and yet requiring the concentration of an Olympian. Who’d have thought it was so difficult to lower a helium stick to the ground? For some virtual participation in the fun and games, have a browse….
It turns out that it doesn’t have to be spring outside to feel bright and breezy on the inside. High five to Sigrid, Paul, Olivia, Emmanuel and Carole for putting on such a good show. Bravo.
