The Inside Scoop: Inspiration, banana skins and talkative fudge

What a week, what a world. The Inside Scoop is here again with a round-up of what went down at Yuppiechef HQ last week (including the Argus). February, eat your heart out. March is rocking.

Pictured above are three of our brave cyclists at the Cape Argus Cycle Tour finish line (did you know that Sir Richard Branson took part?). @Iamcameranerd spotted one of our crew (specifically, Josh) en route and shared a pic with us. Did anyone else out there spot-and-snap a Yuppie rider?

Heard of Heavy Chef? It’s a monthly digital gathering and our Andrew spoke at the #heavychef event in Johannesburg last week. There was some good banter on twitter and some happy people got vouchers. There was also a special story about a pink rolling pin (thanks, Martha).

In other news, Olivia did a great job being interviewed on radio about the art of preserving summer’s bounty; Nina Timm came to teach us about steak and some handsome chaps offered their shoes for banana experimenting.

The warehouse was ringing with singing as the team wished Michael a happy day and we look forward to more of this on Friday for Yanga. We go big when celebrating birthdays at Yuppiechef HQ, recent escapades include some special fudge and a desk bomb extraordinaire.

If you need some inspiration, eat some figs (they’re in season) and have a listen to this melodic Underground map, it might just change your life.

Stay classy and see you next week for more of the Inside Scoop.
