Nespresso is the most popular coffee appliance brand in Europe and we are proud to announce that a selection of their capsule machines are now available on Yuppiechef. Excited? You bet, and we decided to share a bit more about them so you can get excited, too.

Simple to use and with innovative design, Nespresso sidesteps much of the grind of regular coffee making. Time to say goodbye to measuring spoons, knock-boxes, bag clips and airtight containers, perhaps?
Coffee in capsules
While some people are put off by the idea of portioned coffee pre-sealed into little vessels there are some very real benefits if you are willing to take off your purist hat. A few things to ponder:
- Nespresso coffee is roasted fresh and hermetically-sealed into aluminium capsules
- The capsule contents are 100% protected from air and light
- With zero oxidisation, the coffee stays fresh for months
- The inside of the capsule is coated to prevent coffee-metal contact
- The capsules are 100% recyclable
- The Nespresso coffee range is taste-tested by world class baristas
- Nespresso coffee systems produce great crema
- There are no foam additives or flavour enhancers in the capsules
- Coffee aromas are released as with a normal coffee making process

Perfect every time
The magic of the capsules, is the consistency. Some people dislike the idea of a coffee making process that all but removes them but for others this is a dream come true. With their clever machines and meticulously crafted pods, Nespresso rule out error and guarantee exceptional coffee every time:

The coffee itself
Nespresso have developed their own range of sixteen Grand Crus that are blended, roasted and ground by their coffee experts. While capsules take away your chance to support the artisan roaster down the road, their longevity means you can stock up without compromising quality. Fresh ground coffee, even if meticulously resealed in bags or containers, must be finished within a maximum of two weeks and starts to lose quality soon after it is ground. Did we mention the rainbow colours?
100% recyclable
The capsules are fully recyclable and Nespresso have set up collection depots at many of their retail outlets worldwide. They have an interesting programme, dedicated to improving the sustainability of their coffee practices including cutting the carbon footprint of every cup, collecting capsules and sourcing coffee sustainably. Fair trade?
On their site, Nespresso state that they are committed to fair trade and “ensure that at least 75% of the export value of the coffee gets back to the growers and their communities” and that “the farmers use environmentally-friendly farming practices“.
