Winning winter haikus

We’ve had a tremendous response to our Winter Food Haiku competition including a stream of #winter haiku tweets, and have been bowled over by the talent, thought and love of food behind all of the Japanese-style three liners.

We read every single one (see the Facebook entries) and from laughing and tummy rumbles to snug wintery sighs (with constant tapping on the desk counting out syllables) had good fun doing so. You really melt our cheese, people.

Faced with such genius, we ended up picking our four favourite haikus for a R500 Yuppiechef kitchen tool hamper and ten runners-up for a R100 Yuppiechef voucher.
